I got a glimpse of this over at earlier this week at Khalia’s blog – Obsession Confessions of Glamour and Love, and I can’t stop thinking how great this style looks. I love it!! I know Janet got some slack when the original photos of the slicked down version hit the Internet, but clearly y’all were mistaken.
The cut really suits her face and is a nice change from the weaves, ponytails and wigs we’ve come accustomed to seeing her wear. The tapered sides and fullness on the top really accentuates her high cheekbones. I’m not a big celebrity...

Please excuse the pics. I tried taking them myself and you can definitely tell....

I’m back in the gym, I go about 3 times a week. This week was especially challenging because my hair didn’t seem to want to co-operate at all. I don’t think I’ve ever used so much moisturizer, glycerin or Wave Nouveau finishing lotion in one week! By Tuesday evening it really hit home that it wasn’t even mid-week and I needed to get my hair under control in a hurry.
After a particularly hard workout I decided to try cowashing again. I’ve cowashed in the past but I’ve always follow with a braidout with...

Meet my sis-in-law Kaela Reece- A 28 year old living in London while pursuing graduate studies. Kaela has experimented with every type of hair “processing” and style except locks. Be it texturized, relaxed or Wave Nouveau curl she has done it all. Last year Kaela opted for a short pixie cut but in her journey of growing out her style, she is now considering returning to her roots – i.e. going natural.
Kaela got creative a couple weekends ago and devised a neat way to get the natural look without the commitment. Using her spare time and some afro-kinky weave she came up...
