Oh tonight was a night of experiments!! After being so dissatisfied with the results of my last wash, I figured I needed to step up my game and become more consistent with my mid-week washes. So even thought I didn’t feel like going through the whole mid-week-wash-routine I did it anyways and I’m glad I did.
Today was all about pampering and getting my hair back on track so I decided to do a pre-poo with a homemade concoction. I measured out in a bowl:
2 tbsp vegetable glycerin
2 tbsp avocado oil
1 tbsp coconut oil
½ tsp vitamin E
2 heaping tbsp shea butter
Whipped those together...

I told y’all I was going to try this in my last post and I wasn’t kidding. Last night I went into the kitchen armed with my hand mixer and collection of oils and I added a little of this and a little of that and voilá I had my concoction of what I’m calling Shealoe Butter Mousse.
What I was going for was a light butter that I could use both on my skin and hair. For this reason I didn’t add more shea butter but if you want a thicker butter you can go ahead and add more shea. This recipe yields a light fluffy whipping-cream-textured “butter”. The key to...
