Wash Day:Ojon
This wash day I decided to give the Ojon gift pack I received for Xmas another go. This was about the third time I’ve used it.
First up was the Restorative Mask. As directed I covered my hair with the restorative mask and combed through for even distribution. Since I was busy, that stayed on for about 9-10 hours while I got some work done.
I then shampooed with the Hydrating Shampoo about 3 times (my hair felt very coated) before using the Hydrating Conditioner. The conditioner did a good job of softening some of the stripping I received from the shampoo. Nothing like Kenra, but good enough for me to detangling without issue.
After rinsing the conditioner, I did a medium protein treatment with the Joico K-Pak to help strengthen my hair. Left that on for 2-3 mins max before rinsing. My hair felt stronger but lacked the conditioning effects of the conditioner I had used prior. I like my hair to feel moisturized; to feel soft so at that point I knew I needed to condition again. What better time to test drive the Ojon conditioner as a deep conditioner? If it could restore softness after a protein treatment it could reach “keeper” status. Out came the steamer and I sat steaming for about 20 mins.
My hair was soft, but nowhere near how I like it. I wasn’t about to condition again so I added all my leave-in stuff (Ojon Hydrating Styling Cream, Lacio Lacio & Keracare EO) and put on a plastic cap. I hoped that the heat from my hair would help the products to soak in. Maybe an hour later I removed the shower cap. My hair felt a little better. Honestly at that point I was too tired to be bothered. I wet-bunned with the scarf method and determined I would worry about my hair in the ‘morrow.
